1. Schedule more physically demanding activities during cooler hours--take periodic breaks and use SPF 15 sunscreen or higher

2. Wear light, loose-fitting clothing (cotton is a good choice)--this allows air to circulate and keep you cool!

3. Stay hydrated with water--stay away from alcohol & caffeinated beverages--these are diuretics and increase the body's water-loss.

4. Taking any medication? Be aware of any side-effects that could result from sun or heat exposure--some can even increase your risk for sunburn!

5. Stay in air conditioning as much as possible, if you don't have access to an air-conditioned area, keep cool with a fan, or by taking cool showers or a bath.

6. Get plenty of rest and eat healthy--foods such as fruits and vegetables are high in water-content!
Health & Wellness

"The one-on-one personal attention I have received from Dr. Miller has encouraged me to embark on a new lifestyle of personal wellness and preventative medicine--to face the reality that I was overweight, with high blood pressure and high blood sugar levels. Now with regular check-ups and calls from my personal physician, Dr. Miller, I am 20 pounds lighter and my life, both physically and mentally, has greatly improved."
